Jagger’s Nursery

This little room was a labor of LOVE. Each little detail thought out and carefully put together. Most of it was created with things we already had on hand. The bed was sanded down and painted. Prior to the grey paint it was cherrywood and had been used by eight baby boys{5 of them my brothers and 3 of them my own sons}. I remember going to the furniture store with my mom while she was pregnant with my brother 22yrs ago and begging her to get this bed! I thought anything with a canopy was magical! I was right. 😉

This “barn door” was built with old fence panels. It was a team effort with me choosing the perfect boards, my mom helping with the layout/cutting and my husband and I arranging and nailing them together. I am delighted with how it turned out!

Using a peg board was the perfect solution when it came to displaying some of our “favorites”. It also worked well for storage above the diaper changing station…  {Hi Julian!}

Some of Jaggers personal EO stash. Copaiba and Gentle babies are a must!

I have been saving these alphabet cards for the right location since long before Jagger was born. I am terribly glad I held onto them! And I think the LOVE banner added the perfect touch. Plus, I might be a little proud that I made it myself. 😉

CDsimplelife-47No nursery is complete without a reading nook {aka a “cuddle chair”}.

* This hide was not from a fawn{Bambie}, but rather an adult Axis deer that my husband shot.

Details make the room! Okay, let’s be honest, details make the “difference” in everything! So, take care to never neglect them…
