After months of procrastinating on this rather simple project, I decided, what the heck! Its a new year, and my front door could use a new look. It was one of those projects that left me wondering why I put it off so long. Ah, but then I remembered, I have 4 boys and it takes ALL of my energy and focus to keep the house somewhat clean and to keep them fed and alive on a daily basis! So the bottom line is, my door hanger is finished! And my house is a wreck…
Happy New Year!
Supplies/Tools:
- wooden board of the shape & size you prefer { mine was 1×18” in diameter }
- chalkboard spray paint
- fine grit sand paper
- heavy duty ribbon for hanging
- chalk
- drill motor
- 1/2” drill bit
Here is a quick “how to” in photos. Although, I’m sure its pretty self explanatory.
I love how classic and clean it turned out! Although I could definitely stand to practice my { chalk art }. This tutorial I stumbled across seems like a good starting place. Such beautiful images!
